The Company:
Chemi is a relatively young company that came into operation in the early seventies. Chemi´s mission is „to produce for others“ which means that Chemi is a chemical company at the service of third party companies. Today, more than 25 people work in Chemi´s R & D labs using close ties with university institutes with great tradition. These collaborations together with internal resources assure a constant flow of new ideas and innovative approaches, which are developed and adequately scaled up to an industrial level by the company’s experience and competence.
Chemi produces active pharmaceutical ingredients, chiral intermediates, phospholipids, peptides and also engages in custom manufacturing. Chemi is particularly advanced in the areas of chiral intermediates and phospholipids and has developed a number of proprietary technologies.
Chemi´s objectives are to ensure highest quality levels and also competitiveness to its customers, whereby environmental protection is part of Chemi´s reliability. In order to achieve these objectives, Chemi invests a considerable and growing part of its resources in research, in technology development and in the constant innovation of its plants.

Apart from that, Chemi is capable of performing a long list of standard chemical reactions. The entire production complies with cGMP. Chemi has been FDA inspected since 1985. The production and R & D facilities are located in Patrica, in the province of Frosinone, Italy. In August 2000, Chemi acquired an API plant located in Camacari, State of Bahia, Brazil, with the objective of using it primarily to supply the North American market.
