The Company:
Uquifa was founded in 1936 and was the first Penicillin manufacturer in Spain. Today, Uquifa focuses on the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and key intermediates for the world pharmaceutical industry, from laboratory level through pilot scale-up to multi-tone industrial scale.
The chemical expertise at Uquifa is very extensive and comprises most standard chemical reactions. In Spain there are two sites in Llica and Sant Celoni which offer adequate pilot equipment besides Mexico. The available pilot plants for upscaling processes at Uquifa are currently under extension, and construction of additional pilot plant facilities is ongoing. It is Uquifa´s goal to satisfy its customers with high-quality products and to bring new development ideas to the market with the help of fast and professional project management.
