Inquiry

Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor that prevents the final step of androgen synthesis, which reduces estrogen levels. Tumors that grow through androgens are inhibited in growth as a result. Therefore, Anastrozole is used in hormone-dependent tumors in women after menopause. It has no androgenic, estrogenic or gestagenic properties.
